Almighty God, who inspired your apostle Saint Peter to confess Jesus as Christ and Son of the living God: build up your Church upon this rock so that, in unity and peace, it may proclaim one truth and follow one Lord, your Son our Saviour, Jesus Christ.

PRAYER FOR THE PEOPLE OF VENEZUELA

Loving God,
When the earth trembles and homes fall to dust, hold our hearts, God.
When grief shakes families to the core, hold our hearts, God.
Send our hands and feet to help however we can.
Our sisters and brothers in Venezuela live this now.
God of love and mercy, may we match your love in the way we respond – now.

Sunday 5th July at 12 noon

There will be a celebratory picnic in the Cottages garden. Bring your own picnic – Strawberries and cream will be provided.

Sunday 5th July at 6pm

Do come along to hear some lovely music sung by St Peter’s choir, accompanied by organ and brass.

Please can you ensure the gates, which lead into the cottages, are pulled shut behind you on a Sunday after the service, to ensure any children playing in the garden are not able to run out into the drive way.

Children – pre-schoolers and juniors – There are things to do in the children’s area each Sunday.

Come and make boats and fish this morning!

Little Pebbles, for babies, pre-schoolers and their carers, meets every Tues 10-11.30am during term-time in the Cottages.

Thank you to parishioners at St. Peter’s who baked a wonderful array of produce for the Open Gardens event held at Leckhampton Court on Sunday. All the delicious treats were enjoyed very much by the visitors to the gardens and contributed to a very successful event.

Over the past year, people across the UK took action for fairer tea. We’re beginning to see change, from both shoppers and businesses.  Right now, only around 10% of tea sold in the UK is Fairtrade and for most tea farmers, daily life still hasn’t changed enough. Fairtrade’s latest petition is calling on the government to pass a new law that holds businesses accountable for any abuse or climate damage behind their products. Add your name at:
