Today, whatever your job, consider that first calling, to look after the world, its animals and the next generation of humans. How are you fulfilling that calling?
Lord, help us to do small things that produce big change. Where possible, enable us to share resources fairly, campaign for better ecology and animal welfare, nurture young people and leave the world a better place. Amen.

Reading List
- ‘Promise the Earth’ by Julian Allwood and Andrew Davison, published by CUP
I strongly recommend this book which is short and eminently readable by all ages. The authors (an engineer and a theologian) provide a fresh perspective on what we can and must do to combat climate change. They argue that relying on new technologies is mostly unrealistic, but that we have still time to achieve climate targets if we practise Christian values, and that life will be enhanced not diminished as a result. I have bought an extra copy, as I am so keen to share this book!

Target 25
Target 25 is A Rocha UK’s project to help a range of declining species, taxonomic groups, and threatened habitats.
A Rocha have produced information packs that offer guidance on monitoring and recording, and that suggest practical actions that can be taken to boost local populations. Find out more, and view the information packs, on the A Rocha website.
Land management practices at St Peter’s follow the guidelines for T1: Grassland Habitat, specifically the section on churchyards, and are further informed by the guidelines for boosting populations of all Target 25 groups and species likely to be found in the area.
