Street Pastors are volunteers from local churches of all denominations and walks of life.  They serve as the church in action on the streets of Cheltenham every weekend and on other specific times as events occur.

Caring, listening and helping, they provide a loving presence on the streets, without judgement, to those who need support.

Recruits are interviewed, invited to observe a patrol before receiving extensive training and being commissioned.

We are a friendly and supportive group and would love you to join us.  We also welcome Prayer Pastors to support the Street Pastors either from home or the Cheltenham base.

If you are interested, please contact
Chairman Nigel Bennett

Plastic-Free July

  • Pick non-plastic growing containers such as newspaper pots.
  • Choose plastic free (and second hand) tools or share tools with neighbours.
  • Use plastic-free weed barriers such as cardboard or paper covered with mulch.
  • Use hand-painted rocks, lolly sticks, or wooden spoons as row/plant markers.
  • Make your own compost thus avoiding buying compost in plastic bags.

For further tips for reducing your plastic use, go to or Green Tips webpage.
