Gracious Father, you gave up your Son out of love for the world: lead us to ponder the mysteries of his passion, that we may know eternal peace through the shedding of our Saviour’s blood, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Please for pray for peace: protection of the innocent, wisdom for world leaders and a willingness for neighbours to be reconciled.

Are you giving up/taking up something new for Lent?

Little Pebbles for babies, pre-schoolers and their carers, meets every Tues from 10-11.30am in the Cottages during term time.

Children – pre-schoolers and juniors – There are things to do in the children’s area each Sunday.

Donations for Easter flowers will be gratefully received. Please leave them in the box at the back of church.

If you have any shrubs in flower at the beginning of April, the Flower Guild would love to have a few branches to place in large pots by the altar on Maundy Thursday, 2nd April. 

Please bring branches into church on Sunday 29th March and leave in buckets of water at the back of church. Many thanks.

LOCAL HISTORY SOCIETY

Tue 24th March, 7.30pm in Church

Becky Dine will give an illustrated talk on the history of Leckhampton Court from its origins as the manor house to its current status as the Sue Ryder hospice.  Free to LLHS members and U18s, visitors £3. All are welcome.

For the Lent appeal for CCP, the idea is that during the run up to Easter instead of giving something up for Lent an item of food is donated to CCP for each day. The response to this in previous years has been very positive, so if you are able, please join in again this year. I am more than happy to collect from your home, just drop me an email to gilly_whittingham@btinternet.com

The Rest of Life’ book by Tudor Griffiths
