We do not take a collection at St. Peter’s during the service, but you can make a donation using the card machine, which is facing you as you come in, or by using the basket if cash.

Almighty God, our refuge and strength,
in whose image we are all made;
you are home to any who are in need or trouble.
Inspire us with the spirit of Jesus’s love;
and empower us to work for change;
direct our actions towards those who need comfort, shelter and sanctuary;
and draw us more into fellowship with one another and with you.

ALL SAINTS UNITED

The next First Sunday service, entitled ‘All Saints United’ is on 3rd Nov at 10am.
Do come along in your favourite team’s colours or kit as we all celebrate that we’re part of God’s team.

LITTLE PEBBLES

Little Pebbles, for babies, preschoolers and their carers, meets every Tuesday from 10-11.30am during term-time in the Cottages.

SCHOOL GOVERNOR VACANCIES

We are looking for two new Foundation Governors for Leckhampton C of E Primary School

Foundation governors are appointed by the Diocese of Gloucester and work with the Vicar of St. Peter’s to promote links between the school and the church, as well as serving alongside governors appointed by parents, staff and the local authority.

Details as follows:

  • 4 year term.
  • 2 vacancies.
  • Training provided.
  • Time commitment variable ~ about 4-6 hours/month (term time only).

Churchyard Maintenance

Please contact Brad via the Parish Office if you can spare an hour or two every so often, to help with grass cutting and other jobs.

The names of those who have died in the past 3 years will be read out. If you would like the name of a loved one read out at this service, please add them to the list at the back of church. See website for more details.

If you’d like to contribute a shoebox of small Christmas gifts for some of the most marginalised people of Eastern Europe, please pick up a leaflet (one per shoebox) from the back of church. The leaflet provides full instructions for filling and sealing your shoebox.

Cheltenham Welcomes Refugees are looking for a proactive and  dedicated ‘Administration & Activity Coordinator’ to join our growing charity as a freelance contractor, to enable us to fulfil our aims to support people with lived experience of displacement in Cheltenham and to advocate for the rights of refugees and asylum seekers in our local community and nationally. 

It is a very exciting time for Cheltenham Welcomes Refugees (CWR) and we are thrilled to have secured funding for our very first paid position, to help us bring more structure, rigour and administration to our busy, day-to-day activities. 

We are looking for someone organised and proactive with experience of charity administration and/or governance, who can support with the day-to-day running of CWR. We’re keen to work with someone passionate, who cares about offering support and welcome to newly arrived asylum seekers, resettled refugee families and helping us raise awareness throughout Cheltenham and beyond. 

Job details: 

  • Freelance fixed-term contract for one year with aim to renew. 
  • 2 days a week, £150 per day. 
  • Deadline to apply: Sun 20th Oct
