Please email these to the Parish Office or to Revd Gary.

Please pray for peace in the Holy Land and a de-escalation of tensions, and an end to war in Ukraine and Gaza.

God of peace, in this time of sorrow and reflection, we come to you with heavy hearts for the lives lost and the pain endured. Be with those who mourn, with those who live in fear, with those longing for justice and safety. May your peace dwell where there is brokenness. Amen.

WW1 BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE

Newcomers to the congregation may like to know (and old hands to be reminded) that a Book of Remembrance lists the careers of the thirty-five men of the parish who died in the First World War. This is normally kept in a display case in the lady chapel, but in preparation for Armistice Sunday it has been moved close to the Giffard effigies. Please feel free to inspect it – and also to have a look at the timeline on the ledge beside the memorial.

Sat 16th Nov at 4pm

Come and enjoy a short recital lasting around 20-30mins of instrumental and vocal pieces, performed by our talented young choristers from the St. Peter’s Church Choir. There will be refreshments available during the performance in the church, and entry is free (donations welcome).

What is the future of St. Peter’s? How would you answer that question for the medium and long term?

The Parochial Church Council (PCC) will be meeting this autumn to think about this very question and to review the vision for St. Peter’s for the next 5-10 years.

I would like the whole church community to contribute to this process, so please would you click here, or copy the link below into your browser, to complete a short questionnaire. Many thanks, Rev Gary.
